ProPlate’s Meta-Poly® Selective Polymer Metalization sample kit is a useful representation of our polymer coating innovation and capabilities. It is a proprietary metal coating process that atomically bonds metal directly to polymer substrates. Although medical device uses for Meta-Poly® are vast, it is especially exciting for catheter applications. With this innovation, manufacturers can precisely add current conducting paths onto polymers. This biocompatible metal coating can be selectively applied to the desired component with endless options for design customization and metal type depending on the application and intended use.
The sample kit includes 1 Polyurethane Catheter Balloon deposited with Au Meta-Poly®, intended for early feasibility testing on medical device development projects for mapping, sensing, ablation, stimulation, and other balloon catheter applications. This kit gives engineers quick access to initially evaluate the Meta-Poly® technology at a lower cost and lead time compared to conducting a development project.
