Heaters, pumps, filters, anodes, cathode buss bars, eductors, pH monitors, metering pumps and concentrate reservoirs, and power supplies. The electroplating bath is a complex package of machinery.

ProPlate® offers you 2 methods of electroplating: barrel electroplating and rack electroplating. The barrel method is useful for bulk electroplating large quantities of small parts. The barrel is comprised of a mesh screen cylinder and a motor assembly. This barrel rotates with the electroplating bath causing the loose parts within to tumble in the electroplating solution. The tumbling action insures that all surfaces of each part are exposed to the plating solution and receive a uniform buildup of electrodeposit.

The other method, rack plating, is used for larger parts, or very fragile parts. In this method, individual parts are fixed to a frame, or rack. The limitation to this method is lower productivity and there will be a plating void where the part is in constant contact with its rack. When rack plating is required, we will contact you to verify permission for a plating void and it's location. This info is saved in the part directory for future reference.
