Electroplating - Plant Tour

Intro

We'd like to take you on a short tour of our plant. We'll move through each of the steps in the plating process. Skim the words and enjoy the pictures. And as always, if your curiosity is aroused, please
give us a call or write an e-mail. We like to answer questions.

Contract Review

The process begins with a review of your drawing
A quality output starts with a complete understanding of the job as we receive it. We maintain a database of information for each part that we have quoted or electroplated. In addition, we maintain a drawing file of our customer part numbers. There is a lot of information that we need to know in order to properly electroplate your product. Critical dimensions, thicknesses, power densities, time in bath, special handling notes, special inspection criteria, statistical sampling plans, etc. In addition, every time that we electroplate a repetitive job, we record notes about how the job ran. These notes are then added to the database for future reference. This becomes a primary component of our cross training program. When you depend on a human to hold the special little details about particular parts in their memory, things get forgotten, mistakes get made over and over. As we enter an order in the system, the job route card is generated which holds all of the production history for the part.
